Professional Toplist 3.0

Professional Toplist - is a commercial rating system (hereinafter toplist), having the most powerful protection from the cheating for today. From the very beginning, our primary task has been the realization of the toplist, allowing to analyze the traffic of each webmaster and automatically reveal the generated clicks, thus enabling the administrator to make decisions on each webmaster by himself. We refused the simple system of the cutting off of any suspicious traffic at once, though it is the easiest way to be effectively protected, but all webmasters will always suffer from it. That's why our toplist takes into account all the clicks made. This exactly gives us the possibility to define accounts using different tools for click generating. We use statistical methods to determine the deviations of different traffic features.

The toplist includes an automatic system of temporary blocking. Every account the indicators of which have deviated from the model ones is blocked until it returns to permitted limits.

To lower the load on the server, the statistics is updated every 2 minutes, and, accordingly, the rating can't be updated more often than that. The toplist can process rating taking reset into consideration (reset), or for the last 24 hours (no reset).

The toplist is written in C. The input and output scripts don't perform any calculations or connections with the database, which allows them to work out very quickly without losing the statistics or overloading the server. The toplist uses MySQL only for data storage and analysis.

The uniqueness of the visitors is determined by the cookies and the internal IP addresses base of the visitors who accessed before.

A handy control panel allows viewing the state of the system, general statistics, the statistics on all accounts at once or on each account separately. All traffic indicator deviations are marked. The available statistics for each account according to the number of: raw hits, the included unique visitors, clicks made on the top page, the visitors sent, proxy-server queries, repeated queries via the same IP addresses, referrer and country statistics for the last 24 hours, and also all traffic indicators used by the blocking system is available.

For each account it is possible to:

• permit/forbid displaying the banner;
• turn on/off the automatic blocking.

• an opportunity of a delay of publication of the new accounts in the rating until the administrator's confirmation;
• an opportunity of a delay of the changed data publication before they are confirmed by the administrator (before confirmation the old, confirmed data are published in the rating);
• sending the traffic under the random link with the settings of the probabilities for positions.
